The Beast Carbon components are created entirely in-house at Black East GmbH in Dresden - this is where wheels are loved and lightweight construction is practiced.
Prepreg autoclave
The classic among lightweight construction technologies. We use a large autoclave for our pre-impregnated fiber structures, the so-called prepregs. The prepregs are stored in our thermal chamber at constant temperatures below zero. We cut them to the right fit, place them in the tool in the correct position and then they go into the large pressure vessel. They harden in the autoclave under temperature and pressure and are freshly demoulded, deburred and polished into your new beast.
RTM
In Resin Transfer Molding (RTM), we place the dry fiber structures in a suitable cut into a tool. In the subsequent injection process, it is soaked with resin. The tool is heated and the hardening reaction begins. After hardening, we demold your new beast.
VAP
To ensure the perfect quality of your new beast, we work under vacuum. In this way we prevent air pockets and fluctuations in quality. The VAP process stands for vacuum assisted process and was developed by Airbus. What has proven itself in aviation is also the standard for our products.
