• AERO STEM WITH SIMPLE DESIGN WITHOUT FRONTAL COVER
The AEROSTEM is a completely new stem for which LOOK has registered several patents. Although the same tensioning device is installed on the fork as in the C-Stem, it differs from the latter in the shape of the body and the lack of a front cover.
The traditional screw-on cover is replaced by a very durable and lightweight stainless steel clamp. The clamp is tensioned by 2 small screws that disappear behind the bracket inside the stem. This means that no protuberances disturb the air permeability coefficient of this super light and ultra-modern “bug”.
• INCREASE THE ADJUSTMENT RANGE
Thanks to the patented tensioning device, which is independent of the headset and mounted on a disc, the stem can be tilted and the bracket height can be adjusted by 75 mm with just one spacer. This avoids spacers that reduce the lateral rigidity of the wheel and the precision of the steering device.
AEROSTEM offers a larger adjustment range than the C-Stem for low positions. The angle can be adjusted between -13° and +17°. There are 6 stem lengths available: from 80 mm to 130 mm - all 10 mm. This means every cyclist can find the setting with which they feel most comfortable.
• BETTER STEERING PRECISION
Thanks to a shorter fork, oversize bearings and a high stiffness of the stem, the entire steering device is stiffer.
The steering device is more precise. This gives you more confidence on the handlebars, which in turn contributes to improved performance.
• INTEGRATED STEM ACCORDING TO THE DIRECT DRIVE CONCEPT
The Direct Drive concept refers to the optimization of all parameters of the steering device. The aim is to achieve maximum rigidity, reliability and safety in order to achieve a maximum level of performance. We achieve this goal by using a short and conical control sleeve measuring 1.5 inches at the bottom and 1.25 inches at the top and by avoiding multiple spacers placed on top of each other.
• STIFFNESS & LIGHTNESS
Thanks to a composite made of high modulus HM carbon, the AEROSTEM offers great rigidity. To save weight, the stem is hollow.
