- FORGIVENESS: The Future Shock 3.1 is the star of the show. More adjustable and more durable than ever. Regardless of your position on the bike, you benefit from the gentle and smooth handlebar suspension between the stem and head tube with 20 mm of travel. The Future Shock provides a smooth handlebar and more control so you can ride faster, safer and more confidently.
- The unique lowered seat clamp design allows the seat post more freedom of movement and increases horizontal shock deflection. The Pavé seat post specifically controls this deflection for optimal vertical compliance. Together, the clamp and seat post form our AfterShock technology, which, in combination with the stiff rear triangle, ensures a smooth ride without loss of efficiency.
- The Roubaix SL8 is the smoothest road bike our Ride Science team has ever tested. With the Future Shock 3.0 you can move quickly over bumps without changing your center of gravity. This means your momentum is maintained on rough terrain and thanks to the greater stability you are safer on the move. Conventional forks bend upon impact, causing a measurable loss of speed. The Ride Science Team creates science facts: smoother is faster.
- PERFORMANCE: Our endurance geometry was first used on the Roubaix, and today we use thousands of Retül bike fittings to refine it - so you're in, not on, the bike, becoming one with it. The geometry relieves strain on your hands, arms and shoulders. This means you can drive confidently on any road and attack any mountain at full throttle.
- With tire clearance of up to 38C or 40mm, this long-distance machine offers more grip on poor roads and light gravel. And thanks to the lightweight and super-efficient Specialized tires, the additional tire volume and increased friction forces have almost no negative effects.
- The Roubaix is eager for long days in the saddle. That's why we equipped it with all the necessary mounting points - for three bottle cages, top tube bag and even mudguards. Jump into the next adventure and take everything with you.
