The new SRAM Red chain has been redesigned from the ground up. Their unique flattop shape of the lugs made it possible to make the chain narrower and lighter. The resulting larger distance between the outer plates and the sprockets ensures smoother chain running and even more precise shifting. As a positive side effect, the service life of the chain also increases. This is also ensured by a chrome coating on the inside of the tabs and the wheels.
